Day #3 of Week of the Military Child at SES was "Touch-a-Truck Day!" Students had the chance to see various military, farming, construction, and public safety vehicles. A fan favorite was definitely blaring the horn from the semi-truck! Thank you to the following organizations who contributed a vehicle....the kids (and teachers) had a blast! #19SESPride #19EveryStudent -Scott Air Force Base Fire Department -932nd Wing (aircraft engine display) -Madison County Sheriff's Department -Poettker Construction -375th Logistics Readiness Squadron -375th Security Forces -375th Civil Engineering Squadron -Amann Farms

Day 2 of Week of the Military Child at SES has been a blast! Students have enjoyed bounce houses during a break of classroom activities and other fun events throughout the day. Students have also had the opportunity to express what they love about being a military child and why they matter. With the help of Art Teacher Ms. Prince, students took part in the "Why You Matter" project with their poster hanging on the wall throughout the building. SES is a special place with amazing kids! #19SES Pride #19EveryStudent.

At Scott Elementary, PE teachers Mr. Joe Ballard and Mr. Mical Barnes recently partnered with the American Heart Association and the Kids Heart Challenge. In total, SES and our amazing families raised $23,356.98 for the AHA! During PE, students learned the importance of heart health while raising much needed funds for the organization. Thank you to our SES families for helping us support such a worthy cause. Pictured are Mr. Ballard, Mr. Barnes, and SES students who raised over $300.
